Welcome back to the 2021-2022 school year at Mason Dixon Elementary! We are excited to have our students returning to school on August 24th for K-5 students on August 25th for Pre-K students. We can’t wait to meet each of our students and their families, we hope that this year will provide us more opportunities for family events.
Our Open House Event will be held on Friday August 20th from 6:00-8:00, more details will be coming soon.
Please join me in welcoming Mrs. Megan Bacorn as our new Assistant Principal and Ed Tech Leader. She is very excited to take on this new role and cannot wait to work with all our students, teachers, and families. As a school we are grateful for the addition of this new staffing position and super excited that Mrs. Bacorn has been chosen to help us as both an administrator and as our technology leader.
This year we will still be observing safety protocols regarding masks, social distancing, handwashing and keeping our students in classroom groups at the beginning of the year as well as maintaining our disinfecting procedures with our custodial staff. Additional details regarding our protocols will be communicated through the Monongalia County Board of Education in consultation with the Monongalia County Health Department.
