The 7th grade students were recognized with certificates for their many accomplishments throughout the year. They worked hard, made great memories, and had an outstanding year in 7th grade. We are so proud of all they have achieved and wish them the very best as they begin their 8th grade journey. They will truly be missed!

Our 8th grade students recently completed research projects on famous West Virginia landmarks. Students explored the history, importance, and unique features of their chosen landmark while creating informative and creative presentations. Through this project, students gained a deeper appreciation for the rich culture and history of our state and learned many interesting facts about West Virginia.

As the school year comes to a close, South Middle School gave 7th graders the opportunity to explore future career paths during a hands-on career fair. Students rotated through different stations, interacting with professionals in fields like health science, technology, and law. Thank you to the following agencies for providing immersive activities in different career fields for our stallions: WVU Medicine, STEAM TAC, Monongalia County Sherrif's Office, and M&S Consulting!

Last week was full of celebrations for showing growth! The South Stallions worked hard all year, so it was wonderful to take time to celebrate together. Students took a break from working and enjoyed inflatables, bowling, activity stations, and games while making great memories with friends and staff. It was a well-deserved week of excitement and fun for everyone involved.

Tonight’s performance by the Stallion Choir and Orchestra was truly outstanding. We are incredibly proud of the hard work, dedication, and talent each student brought to the stage.
